Expert witness in the field of Information Technology, Serbia
Boban Vesin was born on 31 May 1978, in Kikinda, Serbia. He graduated at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad, in 2002 with an average score of 8.97. He defended his thesis entitled Function points analysis with a score of 10. At the same year he enrolled Master studies at the same Faculty. He passed all exams from the curriculum with an average score of 10. He received his Master of Science degree in 2007, when he defended the thesis entitled: Design and implementation of tutoring system for distance learning of Java programming language. He earned his Ph.D. at the same university in September 2014. Title of his Doctoral dissertation was Personalization of learning process in tutoring system supported with the semantic web technologies.
He is Associate professor at the Department of Business, History and Social Sciences, University of South-Eastern Norway – USN, Norway since June, 2018. Before that, he worked as Postdoctoral fellow at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, as Research engineer at the Chalmers University of technology and University of Gothenburg (2015-2017), as Software engineer in Schneider Electric DMS Novi Sad (2015) and as Lecturer at Higher school for professional business studies, Novi Sad (2002-2015). He has taught several courses: Applied Programming, Design of e-business systems, Databases, Software engineering, etc.
He has published over 50 scientific papers in proceedings of international conferences and journals in the field of Programming, E-learning, Internet technologies and Recommender systems, seven of which were published in journals indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI) database.
He is engaged as expert witness in Serbian court since 2007 and so far he has been involved in over 50 cases.
